In one of their issues the FF took it upon themselves to answer fan mail. They retold their origin, Ben and Reed talked about being in college and fighting in The War and Sue was upset because there were people who pointed that she didn’t really do anything (which is true). Reed’s answer upon seeing his lady love so distraught? Compare her to Lincoln’s mother! Mrs Lincoln might not have involved herself in any war, but at least Sue had gone up against Dr Doom and Mole Man and Puppetmaster and all the other goons in the FF’s rogues gallery. (a sidenote, too, the other guy is a transformed Thing; this is a common theme, his being “cured” only to be turned back a few panels/pages/issues later.)

“Everything I do”, in this case, means sneaking up on her (while she’s practicing her powers), attacking her and demanding that she quickly defend herself Because Of Reasons.
